YES — AvGeek and Star Wars goodness together!

ANA has just announced that they will be putting two new Star Wars themed liveries to their fleet, which will jin the previously announced R2-D2 ANA Jet on a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The first will feature BB-8, a brand new droid from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, which will be on a Boeing 777-300ER.

The second will be a combination livery of BB-8 down one side and R2-D2 on the other of a Boeing 767-300. If you want to see more images, we have plenty to share…

The planes are not only themed on the outside, but the inside as well. The special ANA Star Wars planes will also display in-flight decorations, such as headrest covers, paper napkins and cups featuring Star Wars characters.

ANA will also be the only airline to offer all six Star Wars films on international routes. In fact, this is the first time that any of the Star Wars movies have been part of an airline’s IFE.

On October 18, the R2-D2 ANA Jet will start on rought NH116, which flies between Tokyo and Vancouver. It will then be put on additional routes including Seattle, San Jose, Munich, Paris, Brussels, Sydney, Beijing, and Jakarta). During November, the plane will fly domestic Japanese routes.

Until we are able to see these jets in person (and hopefully fly on one — or three), you can just enjoy the rest of the images (and of course… may the force be with you):

David–just a few questions about this post!

-Has ANA said how many parsecs these Boeings will make the Kessel Run in?
-Does ANA handle its reservations with light-SABRE?
-Will they be issuing temporary pilot uniforms like Han Solo and a walking carpet?
-On the 787 will the dimmable windows play Darth Vader saying “Give yourself to the Dark Side” upon button press?

I was hoping for BB-8s serving drinks and food on board.

Well, ANA said that they have additional details on the inside. So…
