b-day

A big Happy 5th Birthday to AirlineReporter.com!

I had no idea when I created my first blog about airlines five years ago today that there were thousands upon thousands of other aviation fans out there just like me — which is awesome.

This last year has been bigger and better than ever. The biggest change was going from “I” to “us.” A good chunk of the first four years was just me keeping AirlineReporter.com alive, but now we are a team of AvGeeks bringing you all bigger and better coverage than ever.

In 2013 alone, we have flown over 200,000 miles to cover many different stories and diving into new topics and adventures.

Speaking to the fine folks who have contributed the most to the site; here are some of their favorite stories over the last five years. The first being the favorite that they had written and the second being one that they had read:

Chris Sloan:

Malcolm Muir:

Brandon Farris:

Howard Slutsken:

Jason Rabinowitz:

JL Johnson:

Christopher McMullin:

Colin Cook:

For the record, Malcolm (Australian) and Howard (Canadian) want to make it clear these are their favourite stories — not their favorite :).

Which are my favorites? Ha! Too many to count for sure. So many different stories have different meanings for me personally and for the site — I treasure them all.

A big cheers to all of you as well! Without you wonderful people reading the site, we wouldn’t be able to keep doing what we are doing. Hopefully we will continue to grow and continue to bring more awesome content.

If you have a favorite story or two over the years, please feel free to share them in the comments.

Congrats on five years! I love the mix of stories – I never know if I am going to get a trip report, a nice pic of a cool livery, a history lesson or some news. I enjoy everyone’s work, and look forward to reading more with my coffee every morning (gotta take a break from work sometime…)

Congrats! Keep the good stuff coming, and yes those were some of my “favourites” too 😉

Congratulations, AirlineReporter! I always look forward to reading the latest posts on this site. Always interesting and up to date!

Happy B-Day Indeed. Look how far it’s come….. and can’t wait to see where it is in five more years. Thanks for starting this….. I’ll keep reading.

Happy Self Promotion Day AirlineReporter! Been reading for many years and would have a hard time picking a favourite.

Congrats David,
I’ve grow with you over the years. Been reading you for a while now. It’s getting better and better. Keep it coming. You are going in the right direction. Look forward to many more years of great reporting.
After many years and millions of miles of travel, I have retired from my first career and started a new one. I am now at the other end of the phone receiving calls from guys like I used to be and getting them where they need to go. The airline industry is addictive.

Happy Anniversary. Time flies when you are having fun.

Feliz Cumpleaà±os AirlineReporter.

The AirlineReporter stickers are still on my rear bumper.

Keep on keeping on!

Sydney!!

Carlos

Happy Anniversary!
