While I do not personaly think the measures that were initialy implemented would have been effective I do believe that "knee jerk" security measures are a good way of handling things. If the TSA screened for every type of possible threat every time someone got on a plane we would have to submit to a strip search and be put in a TSA provided robe for the flight and have no carryons. The only practical way for screening to work is to react and adapt to relevant recent threats. If every person that has accusations made against them were no allowed to fly this too would be a much bigger problem for the airlines.

I'm going to say that I try to ignore what TSA says anymore and just find out when I get to the airport. They are a joke! Next thing you know, they will ask that you bring your own metal detectors!
